Local Car Insurance Premiums Grew By 32%

According to Akhbar Al-Khaleej newspaper (October 19, 2008), Mr Abdul Rahman Al Baker, Executive Director of Supervision of Financial Institutions at the Central Bank of Bahrain, announced that signed volume of car insurance premiums in the Kingdom Bahrain rose to BD 43.6 million ($ 115 million) in 2007, compared with BD 37.5 million ($ 99.5 million) in the previous year, an impressive 32% growth.
