State Auto Insurance Appoints New Chief Claims Officer

The State Auto Insurance Companies has appointed Stephen Hunckler as director of claims. He succeeds John Melvin, who previously announced his retirement in 2009.

Mr. Hunckler was recently vice president and chief claims Balboa Insurance in Irvine, California, where he was responsible for the overall implementation of the claims and supporting the company's strategy 3 billion U.S. dollars of accounting firms.

His 33 years of professional experience, but includes all six in the real estate and insurance claims arising from accidents, senior management functions held at CNA, Travelers, AIG and Zurich American.
